Name: Shiria Banu
Shiria was mentored at The Hathershaw College of Technology and Sport where she achieved 12 GCSE’s A*-C. She is now studying A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths (Stats) and Health and Social Care at Oldham Sixth Form College. After college, she plans to go to university to pursue a career in medicine.
JU has helped me in many ways from GCSEs all the way through to college. I’ve had support with revision, planning, organising my time as well as help applying for extra activities to support my University application. My JU mentor is someone I can go to with all my problems

Tina Conway |
Name: Tina Conway
Tina was mentored at North Chadderton School and received 10 GCSE’s A*-C. She is currently studying English Literature, History, Psychology and Maths at Oldham Sixth Form College. After completing her A-Levels, Tina plans to go onto University to study a History and/or English related degree.
From the Junior University I gained the support and information I needed regarding moving onto College. My mentor helped me with the College application process and to create a Personal Statement.

Ashley Millward |
Name: Ashley Millward
Ashley was mentored at The Radclyffe School where he received 5 GCSE’s A* - C. He is now studying A levels in Media Studies, Maths and English Language at Oldham Sixth Form College. After college, he plans to pursue a career in the RAF or army but studying for a degree at university is also an option he is considering.
Having a JU Mentor helped me prepare an application for college as well as to complete tasks such as writing a CV. She was also someone I could talk to and trust in order to cope with the demands of Yr 11.

Bradley Tunnacliffe |
Name: Bradley Tunnacliffe
Bradley was mentored at Counthill school and received 9 GCSE’s A* - C. He is now studying A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Use of Maths at Oldham Sixth Form College. His plans for the future are to go on to university, possibly to study animal biology.
Junior University helped me apply for the college I wanted to go to, helped me to use my time well for revision and helped me write my CV which will assist me in the future. I also received AQA certificates from the mentoring.

Name: Josh Wicks
Josh was mentored at Counthill school and received 8 GCSE’s A* - C. He is now studying Law, Chemistry and English Literature at Oldham Sixth Form College. After completing his A levels, he plans to go on to university and study a science based course.
