As Transition Mentors, our role is to encourage you to stay in post 16 education. This involves helping with your application procedure to ensure you are able to make well informed course choices at 16, providing positive encouragement and giving you tips on how to achieve the entry requirements for the college or university you want to progress on to. Our input offers a new perspective, helping you to focus on your studies.. The time we spend with you in school proves invaluable in providing a smooth progression for you from school to post 16 education.
-
We offer mentoring for students, particularly at level 2, who are struggling to settle into post 16 education. We also offer support to you in organisational skills and study skills. If you have any problems that need addressing in order to help you achieve your potential then we are here to help!. We are an approachable and friendly group of staff who are an alternative point of contact for students facing difficulties.
-
We also provide 'ask a student' an opportunity for you to email college or university students questions and queries you may have regarding higher education.
