Both are essential for anyone considering going to university. Also useful if you’re looking for work as the Personal Statement is all about recognising your strengths and skills and selling yourself to potential tutors and employers.
19th October is the Aimhigher Roadshow at UCO
Tuesday 3 November, Careers in “Midwifery” and “Nursing”
Experts from both professions will discuss routes into these jobs and explain exactly what the job involves so you can make a more informed choice about your future.
Wednesday 25 November, Careers in “Computers/Graphic Design/Media” and “Business”
A must for anyone interested in working in these career areas. It is very inspirational and motivating to see how businesses become successful.
Tuesday 15 December, Careers in “Sport” and “Learning to Drive”
An insight into a career in the Leisure Industry. The second half of the presentation will be about what to expect when you learn to drive. Session delivered by Latics School of Motoring.
Wednesday 20 January, Careers in “Social Work” and “Teaching” and “Voluntary Opportunitites”
A very interesting talk by professionals in both sectors, about the pros and cons. Plus another chance to find out about volunteering, essential for many careers in the NHS and Care.
