Context:

UNIT 2 : Education – Gender and subject choice

Aims:

  • To examine differences in choice of subjects between the sexes.
  • To look at the reasons behind the differences in choice

Learning outcomes (objectives of session) :

  • Compare and contrast reasons for gender and subject choice
  • Able to define key words and concepts on gender & education
  • Evaluate possible ideas and trends for the future of gender and education

Differentiation and learning styles (please refer to how the more able will be stretched) :

  • Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic
  • Mastery and developmental activities

How ILT will be used during the session to enhance learning :

  • ILT will be used in this session in the form of Power Point and interactive activities on the intranet. This will enable students to develop their ILT skills.
