Context:

UNIT 2 : Education – Gender and achievement

Aims:

  • To examine recent trends in gender and achievement
  • Evaluate explanations of gender and achievement

Learning outcomes (objectives of session) :

  • Be able to compare and contrast explanations as to why girls have improved
  • Identify key trends in girls and achievement
  • Able to describe external factors for why girls have improved

Differentiation and learning styles (please refer to how the more able will be stretched) :

  • Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic
  • Mastery and developmental tasks

How ILT will be used during the session to enhance learning :

  • ILT will be used in this session in the form of PowerPoint and interactive activities. This will enable individual students to develop their ILT skills
