Context:
UNIT 1 : Families and Households. Social construction of childhood.
Aims:
- To examine the idea of historical differences in childhood
- To examine reasons for the development of modern childhood
- Evaluate the future of childhood
Learning outcomes (objectives of session) :
- Look at what childhood was like in the past.
- List ways modern childhood came about.
- Compare and contrast the idea that childhood is now disappearing.

How ILT will be used during the session to enhance learning :
- ILT will be used in this session in the form of PowerPoint and interactive activities. This will enable students to develop their ILT skills.
