Chemistry
These master classes are intended to aid students through part of the Chemistry AS syllabus. These master classes have been developed to help review and revise the topics. They are set out as follows…
  1. A lesson plan
  2. Teachers' notes
  3. Key resources
The aim of these 45 minute lessons is to guide students through key areas that they should be familiar with.
Lesson 1
This lesson recaps three basic concepts that are essential in chemistry and will be used throughout the masterclasses; they are formula balancing, equations and Mr.
Lesson 2
This lesson teaches students to use the mole/mass/Mr equation and goes on to concentrate on reacting amounts.
Lesson 3
This lesson focuses on the relationship between moles and volume of gas.
Lesson 4
This aims to get students comfortable with calculating concentrations of solutions and also to use two separate equations to work out an answer to a question.
