The BBC mentor project is an
opportunity for A2 Media students wishing to pursue a career in media or study a
media related course at University.
The project is now open to all Greater Manchester colleges and is highly competitive. The department is proud to have had students win places on the scheme since we became involved in 2001.
During the scheme, students have a one-to-one mentor with a member of BBC staff in Manchester, 8 half-day sessions learning about programme production and three blocks of work experience. Their final show in September is attended by parents, friends, BBC Executives and Mentor Co-ordinator Fiona Douglas-Reeves (Head of Media).
